Good ideas, no revenue.

I started a sales consulting company teaching early-stage startups how to build a sales process. After months of research, registering the company and building the idea, I landed one client. That was the good news. The bad news was that it was the only client I would ever land for that business. This was how most of my businesses went for years. I didn't know how to get customers so I never made enough money.

A few leads, a little revenue.

Me and a group of friends founded a career coaching company. Our first week we made over $5,000! But then over the next year, we only made a total of $11,000. It was clear that we had come up with a better idea but the problem was that we couldn't seem to find enough leads. None of our marketing tactics seemed to be working and our revenue declined every single month until we almost gave up.
